How to make 8D Audio in Audacity Tutorial for free. In this guide learn to make 8d music and 8D songs using Audacity a free Windows App Software.
In simple words, 8D Audio is an audio file that recreates a concert in your head using Stereophonic sound or, more commonly known as, stereo!
To properly experience the 8D Audio Effect, it is advice to use a headphone or earphone. It uses the right and left side of headphone speakers to give you a surround sound feeling. In most cases, the sound keeps moving in circular motion around your head. This motion is then reversed after an interval.
1. Launch Audacity.
2. Drag and drop a music file in Audacity to add two tracks of same audio file.
3. Stereo audio file has 2 audio channels (Right and Left) .So lower the volume of the RIGHT channel so that FIRST TRACK is audible from left headphone speaker only. You can do this by adjusting the “Pan” setting situated on the left of the track.
4. Similarly, lower the volume of LEFT channel of the SECOND TRACK so that it is only audible from right headphone speaker.
5. To make the 8D audio feel more surrounded, add Reverb to both of the music tracks. To do this : press Ctrl+A then from the Effects drop down menu, select Reverb effect. Choose the default reverb settings and hit apply.
6. To make the 8D Music go around the head in circles, press F2 or select the Envelope tool. Using the envelope tool at around 00:00 track time, lower the volume of the first track while keeping the volume same on second track. See image below for reference.
7. Now, after few seconds around 00:10 seconds into the music track, increase the volume of the first while lowering the volume of the second track. See image below for reference.
8. Now, if you listen to these track using a headphone, you should notice the sound moving from one ear to another.
9. Alternate this process (step 7), to make the audio go in complete circle around your head. Keeping adjusting the audio using the envelope tool until you are satisfied with the results.
10. Add more Reverb if audio doesn’t sound enough 8D.
If the audio is too loud or distorted, use the Normalize Effect from the effects drop down menu to Normalize the audio.
That’s it! Now you can export your 8D Audio and share with the world or 8D Audio on YouTube Channel!
Important Note: Some music tracks already have a lot of reverb. Don’t apply reverb effects to those tracks.
Furthermore, you can use Adobe Audition for more audio adjustments and rich features.
